The charge for non-members is set at £60 plus postage and packaging. Members with a minimum of one year of continuous membership qualify for a discounted rate of £25 plus postage and packaging. Please include your membership number with your request to verify eligibility.

DVLA-Accredited Dating Certificate Service

Need a dating certificate for your Suzuki motorcycle? We’re here to assist! This service is ideal if you have an older bike that has never been registered, has been restored, or if DVLA records are incomplete. A dating certificate can help you retain the original registration or obtain an age-related plate.

Requirements

• Chassis Number: Located on the headstock or side of the frame.
• Engine Number
• Your Details: Include full name, address, and postcode.
• Country of Origin: Indicate if the bike was imported and from where.
• Import Documentation: Title, bill of sale, and NOVA declaration from the importer if available.
• Photos:
  • Provide four high-quality photos:
    • Frame number and headstock plate (if fitted)
    • Engine number
    • Each side of the bike
  • Photos help verify that parts align with the year of manufacture. If parts from various years are used, the DVLA may designate the bike as a “special” and issue a "Q" plate. Inspections may be required.
• Model: Be as specific as possible.
• Engine Capacity: Exact cc, if possible.

Payment and Processing

• We accept payments via SOC Shop, PayPal, or Bank Transfer (no cheques).
• Payment is due only after confirmation from our Technical Officer that all details are correct and the certificate process can begin.
• Submit all evidence electronically to the Technical Officer.

Certificate Fees

• Non-members: £60 for the dating certificate (plus £1.75 P&P)
• Members: £25 for the dating certificate (plus £1.75 P&P, membership number required for discount eligibility after one year of membership)
• Re-issue Fees:
  • Non-members: £30 (plus £1.75 P&P)
  • Members: £15 (plus £1.75 P&P)

Please allow at least 28 days from the receipt of all information by the Technical Officer. Postal submissions may take longer.

Note: Dating certificates are valid for 6 months from the issue date. Ensure your motorcycle is at least 90% restored before applying, and keep the frame number visible for verification after restoration.
